Yawn...

Good gracious, I am worn out. Why? Well, my only excuse is that I'm growing a human! This short week is seeming to drag on...and on...and, you get the point! I'm sure having a job that really requires no more than 8-10 hours of work per 40 hour work week isn't helping. I'm just bored. And I sit and stare at the same websites all.day.long. Seriously? How much facebook can one person really take?!

I'm taking some of my spare time at work to put together my plan for once Hampton gets here, and boy am I excited! I'm not quite ready to share, but I am so looking forward to the MAJOR change that is hopefully coming in the next few months! God sure has taken me by surprise on this one, but I know that He is in control!

We spent the weekend in the mountains and had a great time. I was hoping to go and just sit around and do a whole lot of nothing, but I should have known better. My husband can't sit still for one minute. We walked in the door and he was ready to go, go, go! We wound up fishing, playing miniature golf, heading into town a few times, going on a hike to see a waterfall (which we couldn't tell if the sign said was 11 or 1.1 miles away, but after hiking for a while, realized it must have been 11. We turned around and took a picture from the observation deck! :) ), and tubing down the Chattahoochee River (which was a nice 55 degrees or so. Brr!). Meal time and when Jordan was soaking in the hot tub were my chances to kick up my feet! I guess I better get over it, because with another Duke boy coming, I don't see much slowing down anytime in my near future! And I don't mind one bit!!

Off to the Mountains

Jordan and I are headed to the mountains in just a little while for the long weekend. We can't wait! Mom, dad, and Taylor will be joining us later, but we'll have today and most of tomorrow to ourselves. Time for some peace, quiet, and a whole lot of nothing! :)

Yesterday's u/s went well. Hampton had a nice healthy heart rate of 138 and was looking good! We got a couple of pictures, but they're at home, so I'll have to scan them in later. He is very, very low, and they had to do an internal to get measurements of his head. This had me nervous at first, but they measured my cervix and it's about 4.75, so all is good there. I'm locked up like Fort Knox! The doc said he's a big baby, measuring 70-80% in everything. It kind of shocked me considering my barely there bump! Apparently, I will be carrying this baby in my hips, butt, and boobs! Yippie.

Sunday will be 20 weeks!! I am halfway there, and I couldn't be more thrilled to meet my little monkey!!!

It's Thursday?!!

Wow! I thought I'd give a brief recap of the weekend, and it hit me that it is already Thursday! Dang, where is the time going? (Who am I kidding? If I could close my eyes and wake up in October, I'd be thrilled!) After battling one helluva stomach bug last week (with Migraines-Bonus!), I was so happy to be feeling better by the weekend. Not wonderful, but much, much better!

Jordan has been anticipating doing our baby registry since before we were even pregnant, and I kept trying to put him off. Well, once we found out that monkey was a boy, there was no stopping him! So, needless to say, we spent a few hours in Babies R Us on Saturday getting started. The first section we got to was breastfeeding supplies and bottles. Oh.my.goodness. That terrified me-there were so many options, and I had no idea where to even start! Finally, just the get the ball rolling, I started pointing out random bottles and nipples for Jordan to shoot (yes, he got control of the gun). I didn't know what I was doing, and I went home and erased all of them and started on some research! We had a good time picking out stuff and were pretty agreeable...thankfully! We were able to go back on Monday evening and finish things off. I know that it is pretty early, but it's one thing that can be checked off the list. Time is flying, and I think it is smart to take advantage of the times when I feel good!

We also ordered our bedding set this weekend. Or, should I say, my awesome mom ordered it!! I've been eyeing this set for quite a while, but I wasn't sure how Jordan was going to like it. Turns out, it was his favorite. Perfect!

I can't wait for it to get in so that we can get started on painting. We're planning on doing the wall green w/ blue polka dots and picture of little animals somewhere (maybe in the dots, like in the bedding?). We'll see...

We spent Mother's Day with my parents by the pool. It was so nice! We gave all the dogs a talking to about the changes that are coming. I'm not sure they'll quite understand until Hampton gets here...

Big sister Chili says, "I don't care as long as you rub my belly!"

Big brother Logan says, "I'm going to pout by myself for a bit, but I'll be okay."

Uncle Max says, "Bubbles? I love bubbles! Blow some more!"

It's a BOY!!!!!

Hampton Bradley is on the way!! We are so excited! I have felt it was a boy since day 1, so I'm not really surprised! He was sound asleep in a ball with his head down when we first went in, but once we got him awake and moving, there was no doubt. Little boy parts were being shown off in practically every shot!!

Nobody had a clue that we were getting an u/s on Monday, which is exactly how we wanted it. Dealing with infertility treatments has really sucked the element of surprise from every aspect of this, so it was so fun to be able to surprise our parents, siblings, and friends with the news. Monday evening, we went and got some blue balloons and some balloons that read "It's A Boy!" and were going to put them in each of our parents' garages so they could be totally surprised when the got home. We were able to pull it off at Jordan's parents', but when we got to my parents' house, my mom had gotten home from her meeting earlier than expected so we had to change our plans. We decided to tie the balloons onto the front porch stair rails, ring the doorbell, and hide around the corner to see her reaction. It was perfect! She was so completely surprised!! Dad was in CA, so I called him and said he was getting a grandson. His reaction-"A boy. Holy Cow!!" I think dad is still in shock that his little girl is going to have a baby of her own. Everybody was completely thrilled, and it is so exciting to be able to start really planning!

I'm having a son!!! EEEKKK!! :) :) :)
